The first Chick-fil-A in Washington (second after the one that closed down in Bellingham in Mid-2011) will open this Thursday on April 9 in Bellevue. As a way to kick off the new opening, Chick-fil-A will be giving the “First 100” a free meal each week for 52 weeks to 100 participants selected to camp out 24 hours prior to a location’s opening.

The Bellevue Chick-fil-A is on 116th Avenue Northeast across from the downtown area.Chick-fil-A was in a hot mess of headlines in 2012 when its COO made public comments opposing anti-same-sex-marriage, since then, the company has backed off its donations to anti-same-sex-marriage causes and skip the political arena moving forward.

The Bellevue location will be the company’s first standing Chick-fil-A location, the week following, a location in Tacoma will open on April 16th, then Lynnwood in early May.
