Chef John Howie Restaurants Create Ready-Made Thanksgiving Feasts

The John Howie Restaurant Group has launched a new program that will allow guests to experience ready-made Thanksgiving dishes from the comfort of their home prepared by the great team behind John Howie Steak, Seastar and Beardslee.

Thanksgiving dinners from each restaurant will be available by advance order beginning Oct 20. Orders will be taken until Nov 20 for pick up on Nov. 25. Optional add-ons – including appetizers, desserts plus wine pairings, Beardslee beer crowlers and cocktails to go – are also available. 

Additionally, Chef John Howie is providing an opportunity for patrons to pay it forward in a program that will benefit Hopelink and the Northshore Senior Center.

For every Thanksgiving meal purchased from Seastar, an identical family meal will be donated to Hopelink for families in emergency shelter and transitional housing units. 

For every two Thanksgiving meals purchased from Beardslee, one complete family meal will be donated to the Northshore Senior Center in Bothell.

Chef Howie is doing this in lieu of his 17-year tradition of closing Seastar Restaurant to provide a full three-course, fine dining feast at no cost for more than 650 underprivileged guests.

Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar (Bellevue)
Menu – Serves 6-8 ($149.95)
Brined & roasted turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, vegetable & herb stuffing, haricot verts with porcini mushroom sauce & frizzled onions, orange-ginger-all spice candied yams, fresh turkey gravy with herbs, fresh baked dinner rolls with whipped butter and fresh cranberry orange compote.

John Howie Steak (Bellevue)
Menu – Serves 8-10 ($249.95)
Applewood smoked and roasted turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, black truffle herb stuffing, charred broccoli with preserved lemon, capers & roasted garlic aioli, orange-ginger-all spice candied yams, fresh turkey gravy with herbs, fresh baked parmigiano dinner rolls with whipped butter and fresh cranberry orange compote.

Beardslee Public House (Bothell)
Menu – Serves 6-8 ($84.95)
Brined & roasted turkey, Russet mashed potatoes, brewing grain soft pretzel-herb stuffing, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and caramelized onions, fresh turkey gravy with herbs, fresh baked dinner rolls with whipped butter and cranberry sauce.
