Il Terrazzo Carmine is planning to expand its popular Italian restaurant in Pioneer Square to downtown Bellevue in spring 2016. Owner and renowned Seattle eatery, Maria Smeraldo, widow of the founder Carmine Smeraldo has her eye on signing a lease on the south side of Downtown Park located on 88 102 Ave. N.E. The area is expected to have tremendous growth over the next three years.
The restaurant will be run by the Smeraldo sons, Carmine Joseph Smeraldo, 24, and younger brother Philip Smeraldo , 21. The Smeraldo family is focusing on building a high quality restaurant in which eastsiders will make it a destination spot worth going over and over again.
